About me & MYmassage
My professional career spans over 30 years, combining multiple career paths in industry, mental and physical health, and massage and bodywork. I work with people living with HIV, with pain, with trauma, with substance abuse, with depression or anxiety; and with those people who simply want to experience relaxation, stress reduction, growth, healing, or discovery in their lives. My work is influenced by several schools of psychotherapy, therapeutic massage and somatic practices (bodywork); all of which help people to understand their bodies, injuries, emotional lives, relationships, illnesses and personal dynamics as part of their healing process.
Currently, I also work with specific needs and concerns of US Veterans. I enjoy ongoing study in mental health and bodywork care, health and fitness, travel, writing, and providing educational opportunities for clients and professionals through presentations. I am a current member of the National Association of Social Workers, the Society for Social Work Leadership in Health Care, the American Massage Therapy Association, the Florida State Massage Therapy Association, Inc., a board member of The United States Association for Body Psychotherapy and a member of the European Association for Body Psychotherapy.
